Series 5 Curriculum Overview
In Series 5, children will deepen their understanding of who God is and how He faithfully works in the lives of His children through His inspired Word and His grace. They will discover the role of the Holy Spirit and learn how God walks with us through suffering, revealing His faithfulness in every season of life. Each week, as they study, children will be grounded in the Word of God through Biblically sound teaching and Scripture memorization, while being encouraged to develop hearts that desire to please God.

The Word of God
Studies 1-4
Lessons from Joshua 1-6, including Joshua’s preparation for leadership, Rahab’s act of faith, crossing the River Jordan, Joshua’s encounter with the Lord, and the Battle of Jericho.

Discovering God's Ways
Studies 5-8
Lessons from Joshua 7-24. This includes the victory at Ai, the miracle of the prolonged day, and other stories of Joshua’s leadership.

Rebellion
Studies 9-12
Lessons from Judges 1-16. This includes the stories of Deborah, Gideon, and Samson.

The Grace of God
Studies 13-16
Lessons from the book of Ruth. This includes Ruth’s choice to stay with Naomi, God’s protection of Ruth and her place in the line of Christ, and Boaz’s role as kinsman-redeemer as a reflection of Christ.

The Holy Spirit
Studies 17-20
Lessons from the beginning of the book of Acts with a focus on the Holy Spirit. This includes the stories of Pentecost and Ananias and Sapphira.

Suffering
Studies 21-24
Lessons on what the Bible teaches about suffering, using stories of persecution from the book of Acts. This includes the stories of Peter and John’s imprisonment in Acts 4 and Stephen the Martyr in Acts 6-7.

Fanny Crosby
5 Additional Lessons
This true story is of a young blind girl named Fanny Crosby. How Fanny became one of America’s well-known songwriters shows what God can do with a life wholly yielded to Him.

Holland's Missing Christmas
Christmas Lesson
This fictional yet believable story of a young boy living in Holland will captivate children while focusing on the real meaning of Christmas.
